Colour and appearance settings for implicit surfaces

CGRAPH displays implicitly defined surfaces as a point cloud formed from individual small cubes.

In addition to the colour, the size of the cubes can also be specified. However, this size is relative – the actual display depends on the position of a cube in 3D space. Cubes that are closer to the front are displayed larger than those in the background.

Displaying the cube edges in a different colour facilitates three-dimensional perception. The edge display can be disabled, which speeds up the drawing process. The edge colour can also be freely selected. In addition, you can specify whether CGRAPH should only draw the edges when scaling up. This prevents the edge colour from being visible instead of the fill colour when scaling down.

Furthermore, the graphic as a whole can be drawn translucent by moving the transparency slider to the left. The default value for transparency when creating the graphic can be set in the settings.

The example shows the approximate appearance that can be expected later in the graphic representation. The selected size of the cubes is marked in red in the example window.
