When CGRAPH is launched, it displays the following image. On the left-hand side is the function bar, which can be used to create graphics. The menu can also be used for this purpose. In Windows, it is located at the top of the CGRAPH window; in macOS, it is displayed at the top of the screen.
Here you will find a list of all functions in CGRAPH.
Interface structure
Graphic view
The areas marked with arrows have the following meanings:
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Red | At the top, there is a row of tabs representing the graphic types created so far. |
| Green | Below the graphic type tabs, there is a second row of tabs representing the graphics belonging to each graphic type. The window below contains the settings for the graphics and their graphical representation. |
| Magenta | After a function has been selected, CGRAPH displays a data tree next to the function bar, listing all graphics and their representations. |
| Blue | The section shown can be changed using a function bar above the graphic. This can also be done with the mouse, of course. |
| Yellow | The respective position of the mouse pointer in the graphic is displayed below the graphic. When zooming, the two corner coordinates of the selected rectangle are displayed. |
Create new graphic
After selecting a graphics type, GRAPH automatically hides all graphics that do not match the selected image type in the function bar. You can then select other graphic types by clicking on the
button at the top of the function bar. Regardless of which graphics are to be displayed in the main view, all buttons belonging to the graphic type are then visible here.
Close a created graphic
The two icons are used to close the default window and the graphic window. Clicking on
closes only individual default windows, while clicking on
removes the entire graphic type.
For some graphics, presets and graphical representation are combined. This is usually the case when it does not make sense to overlay several graphics in a single display.
Changing the graphic display
CGRAPH distinguishes between 2D displays and 3D displays. Depending on the graphic type, parameters can also be entered graphically. Here, CGRAPH distinguishes between real and complex parameters.
Help
CGRAPH offers context-sensitive help, which can be accessed via the F1 key on your keyboard. An internet connection is required for this. The relevant page in this wiki is then called up and displayed.
