Here you can define the display and labelling of the axes. The dialogue box opens when you double-click on the text of the main node of the Axes.
In the Display area, you can set which parts of the axes should be visible. In addition, there are options for setting the centre grid spacing for the background grid and the ratio of axis texts to the grid. The default settings are chosen to provide a good overview. In individual cases, other settings may be appropriate. Visibility can also be switched on and off by clicking on the respective coloured symbol.
Both axes can be labelled with your own text. In addition, the axes can be normalised to π instead of integer values – this is helpful for trigonometric functions, for example.
In the Zoom area, you can specify whether the new section should follow the selected section exactly or whether the ratio of the axes to each other should be maintained. In the first case, exactly what was selected is displayed, but the graphic may then be distorted. In the second case, the graphic remains undistorted, but the section shown is in most cases larger than the one selected with the mouse.
A Cartesian, polar or logarithmic representation can be selected as the Coordinate System.
Note: Logarithmic representation is not available for all graphics.
