====== Functions of the graphic display (2D) ====== The **//display//** of graphics offers several options for modification ^ Element ^ Description ^ | Tree view (red arrow)| In this view, to the left of the actual graphic display, you will find all the important parameters for the individual graphics as well as settings for colours and appearance of the coordinate system| | Function bar (green arrow)| Contains buttons for editing the display and an option for removing the display (magenta arrow)| | Status bar (yellow arrow)| Displays the current coordinates of the mouse pointer in the graph on the left. Depending on the type of graph, these can be real (x/y) values or a complex number. The second field shows a coordinate when a section is selected with the mouse.| | Parameters (blue arrow)| This area contains information or the option to change a parameter| ===== Function bar ===== The function bar provides buttons for quickly changing the display and for printing. ^Symbol^Description^ ||Enlarges the section (zooms in) by a factor of 2| ||Reduces the section (zoom out) by a factor of 2| ||Restores the previous section. A maximum of 20 sections are saved.| ||Restores the original section.| ||Allows the values to be exported as a CSV file. This button is only available for graph types where the default values and the graph share the same window.| ||Opens the printer selection and prints the current view according to the general settings. For some graphics, additional settings can be accessed by right-clicking on this icon.| ||Closes the complete tab and thus the graphic display and all associated default pages.| ===== Status bar ===== The status bar has three elements ^ Element ^ Description ^ | Left field | Displays the current coordinates of the mouse pointer in the graphic on the left. Depending on the type of graphic, these can be real (x/y) values or a complex number (yellow arrow). | | Middle field | Displays a coordinate when a section is selected with the mouse. Depending on the type of graphic, these can be real (x/y) values or a complex number.| | Right field | Contains information or the option to change a parameter (blue arrow).| ===== Select section with the mouse ===== By clicking on the graphic and moving the mouse, a red frame can be drawn. A second click then defines the new section. In the settings, you can specify whether the section is to be implemented exactly (this often distorts the graphic) or whether the ratio of the axes to each other (and thus the proportion of the graphic) is to be maintained. The section can also be enlarged and reduced continuously using the mouse wheel. ===== Scrolling with the mouse ===== Right-clicking on the graphic displays blue triangles when the mouse is in the outer areas. At the edge, there is a double triangle, further inside a single triangle (red arrows in the images). After releasing the mouse button, CGRAPH scrolls either a whole ‘page’ (double triangle) or half a ‘page’ (single triangle) in the direction of the tip of the triangle. ‘Page’ here refers to the width or height of the graphics window. If the window has a width of 6 units, for example, the double arrow scrolls by these 6 units, while the single arrow scrolls by only 3. If you prefer not to scroll, simply move the mouse to the middle area where no arrows are displayed and then release the mouse button.
