====== Settings: Mathematics ====== Here you will find settings for how CGRAPH handles mathematical specifications and conditions. {{screen_EN:scr_OptionsMathematik.png}} In the **//Imaginary Unit//** section, you can specify whether CGRAPH should use the mathematical i or the electrical j to represent imaginary numbers. Both options are always permitted for input. In the **//Number representation//** area, you can specify the number of **//decimal places//** that CGRAPH should display. CGRAPH can also //display complex numbers in an optimised form//. If the real or imaginary part of a complex number is zero, it is no longer displayed. Of course, complex numbers can still be entered in input fields. In the **//Termination conditions for infinite series//** section, you can specify how CGRAPH should handle the sum() and prod() functions, which replicate [[SumProdDefinition|infinite sums and product series]]. Since CGRAPH cannot calculate infinitely, it is necessary to define termination conditions. The two sliders can be used to set the limit at which a **//contribution to the result is very small//** and therefore no longer needs to be taken into account. On the other hand, the **//number of iterations//** can be specified – in this case, the calculation is terminated regardless of how large the calculated summands are. [[Settings|Back to overview]]
